DHP-1565EOL EOS

Wireless N PowerLine Gigabit Router

Description

Use your power lines as high-speed network cables
D-Link’s DHP-1565 Wireless N PowerLine Gigabit router uses your home’s electrical wiring to expand your network to all corners of your home – at speeds of up to 500 Mbps*. Just connect this router to the Internet and then simply plug its power cable into an electrical outlet. The DHP-1565’s power cable will now transmit your network signal via your home’s electrical wiring to any product that is based on the HomePlug AV standard and is plugged into any other electrical outlet in your home. This saves you from running network cables all over your house, and you can reach areas that a wireless signal cannot reach.

Functions as a router or access point
The DHP-1565 can be used in either of two operating modes - Router Mode or Access Point Mode. In Router Mode, it connects to your cable or DSL modem to share your Internet connection with all of your devices through Ethernet cables, Wi-Fi, or through your electrical wiring (“PowerLine” network). In Access Point Mode the DHP-1565 acts as a distance-bridging device between your home’s router and the devices connected to the DHP-1565 via cable or Wi-Fi.

Secure your network at the touch of a button
AES data encryption protects the PowerLine network from unauthorized access and wire-tapping, and modern encryption standards such as WEP, WPA,and WPA2 ensure that your data will remain safe when transmitted wirelessly. Press the Common Connect Button to establish a secure Wi-Fi (via WPS) or PowerLine connection in just a few seconds. Built-in dual active firewalls (SPI and NAT) also help to guard against potential attacks originating from the Internet.

Save energy with D-Link Green
The DHP-1565 supports D-Link Green features such as Wi-Fi Scheduling, PLC (Power Line Communication) Power Saving, and Power Saving by Link Status.
Wi-Fi Scheduling allows you to configure specific time periods when the wireless network will be powered off to save energy and enhance security. PLC Power Saving shuts down the PowerLine connection when no Ethernet activity or wireless connection is detected. Power Saving by Link Status automatically detects the link status of wired devices and reduces the power usage of ports that are idle. These features help you to save power without sacrificing performance.

* Maximum throughput based on theoretical transmission PHY rate. Actual data throughput will vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including volume of traffic, network overhead, and maximum transmissions speeds of connecting products, may lower actual data throughput rate. Interference from devices that emit electrical noise, such as vacuum cleaners and hair dryers, may adversely affect the performance of this product. This product may interfere with devices such as lighting systems that have a dimmer switch or a touch-sensitive on/off feature, short-wave radios, or other PowerLine devices that do not follow the HomePlug AV standard.

** Maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE standard 802.11n specifications. Actual data throughput will vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, and network overhead, lower actual data throughput rate. Environmental factors will adversely affect wireless signal range
